Our Level 4 Housing course is designed for housing professionals to meet the new mandatory legislative requirements coming into effect in October 2026 and comply with competence and conduct standards.
What this Course Includes:
This Level 4 Housing programme is designed to support housing professionals in developing the knowledge, practical capability, and professional behaviours required to meet mandatory legislative requirements and competence and conduct standards across the housing sector. The programme equips learners to apply regulatory expectations confidently in practice and supports organisations in building a compliant, capable, and future-ready workforce.
Delivered over 15 months, the programme combines structured learning with workplace application through a blended delivery model of virtual tutor-led sessions, self-directed learning, and on-the-job activity. Learning is delivered through defined units focused on housing practice, regulation, compliance, finance, and leadership, ensuring learners develop the required knowledge and practical understanding to operate effectively within evolving sector expectations.
On successful completion, learners achieve a CIH-recognised qualification required to support compliance with mandatory housing legislation, competence and conduct standards. The programme prepares professionals to take on increased responsibility and fulfil supervisory and leadership requirements within housing services.
The Level 4 Apprenticeship costs up to £9,000 per learner and can be fully funded through an employer’s Apprenticeship Levy. Employers who do not use levy funding contribute £450 per learner, with the remaining cost funded through apprenticeship funding arrangements.

“I am really enjoying the programme, the mix of doing it hands-on in the dental practice and then gradually learning the theory is extremely beneficial. The meetings are also enjoyable and engaging, which I find is a good way of learning.”
