Two Nominations and a 'Highly Commended' Win at the 2026 Quality and Professionals Awards

At Skills4, we are always blown away by the hard work and growth our teams show every day. Because of their dedication, we were thrilled for our Compliance Team to be nominated as a finalist for the 2026 annual Quality and Professionals Awards, in not just one, but two categories: Compliance Team of the Year and Rising Star nominee, Jessica.

This double nomination is a massive testament to the collective strength of our compliance department. Over the past year, the team has worked tirelessly behind the scenes to maintain the highest standards of data integrity, streamline our audit processes, and support our tutors and learners across the country. Being named a finalist for Team of the Year recognises that seamless, everyday dedication.

On 25 June, the Compliance Team, accompanied by our owner, Amerjit, made the journey to the awards ceremony held within the historic Midland Hotel in Manchester, where they were greeted with a complimentary glass of champagne to help quell any rising nerves. Jessica recalls the moment she entered the building:

On the day of the awards, I was so nervous. Amerjit, the team and I arrived in Manchester and headed to The Midland Hotel, where the ceremony was being held. It felt pretty surreal walking into such an iconic and historic place…

The award winners were revealed, and Jessica’s incredible journey and dedication did not go amiss - she came away with a ‘Highly Commended’ award:

To be honest, just being nominated meant a lot to me. Starting out in an industry I’d had no experience in, and then being recognised by people I really respect, already felt like a huge achievement. Being named a finalist made it even more special. So, to then be Highly Commended and come away with an actual award is something I’ll always be really proud of.

Jessica’s journey with Skills4 started in June 2024 as a Business Administrator Apprentice, and a year later in August 2025, she completed her apprenticeship with a Distinction. Fast forward to 2026, and Jessica is an integral part of the team as a Funding and Data Coordinator.

From everyone at Skills4, we could not be prouder of Jessica and everyone in our compliance team; being nominated as finalists for two awards, and having one of our own apprentices walk away with a Highly Commended award is nothing short of amazing.

Judges’ comments:

Her ability to influence mobilisation, funding compliance, and systems implementation so early in her career is highly impressive and signals significant future potential within the sector.

We are incredibly thankful for the recognition and to our Compliance Team for the outstanding effort they put into their roles every day.

Thank you and congratulations to the team for being nominated: Kayte, Rich, Curtis, Jess, Jade and Becky.
